Frequently Asked Questions

1) I am a staff but I do not have login details to the MIS portal.
Answer: Please make a report or complain to your head of department (HoD).

2) I have forgotten my password.
Answer: Click on the “I Forgot my password” on the login page of the staff portal or visit the direct link http://udsmis.com/uds/passwordrecovery

3) I cannot open the portal.
Answer: Make sure you get the portal address or url correctly ( www.udsmis.com/uds ), your staff ID number (4 digits) is correct, the caps lock (Capital Letters) is off or on to capture your password correctly. Again clear your browser cache or change the browser or the device (phone/computer) you are using.

4) I want to change my email address or phone number.
Answer: Login to the portal, click on My Profile menu and make changes to the entries and click on the submit button.

5) My courses for the trimester are not assigned to me to upload my results.
Answer: Send complain to your HoD to assign them.

6) I want to assign a course to a lecturer outside my department or faculty.
Answer: Login as HoD/Dean, under Services click on Assign Courses. Adjacent the submit button click on the Department Request/Grant link. See details on help or find direct link here http://udsmis.com/uds/lecturerguide

7) I do not have the results format or template.
Answer: Login to the staff portal, under services click on Download Registration, select Results Format. NB: Select all the faculties that registered that course.

8) I need registered students for my course
Answer: Login to the staff portal, under services click on Download Registration, select Registration format. NB: Select all the faculties that registered that course.

1) During upload of results the software reports that, this student is not registered, what should I do?.
Answer: Please send a complain through any of the following email addresses udsonlinereg@gmail.com; udsonlinemis@gmail.com; onlinereg@uds.edu.gh

10) I have uploaded the wrong results or I want to correct or edit my results.
Answer: If the result(s) is not finalized, you can withdraw the results from the Manage Upload menu. If the result(s) is verified by either HoD/Dean or both, you need to request for withdrawal of the results which would be grated or declined by HoD/Dean. Click on the Request link under request for withdrawal column on the last column of the record.

11) How do I score or handle a student who defer my course?.
Answer: Leave the CAT and EXAMS blank.

12) Where can I find the current trimester courses assigned to me to upload my results.
Answer: Please login, click on "services" menu and select "upload results".

13) I do not receive emails from MIS or correspondences.
Answer: Please make sure your email address is spelt correctly at "My Profile" menu. We prefer gmail accounts.

14) How do I communicate to my students or staff?.
Answer: You can send bulk emails to students and staff through the email menu by clicking on the messenger sub-menu. If you know a staff or student's ID you can sen a personal or individual email.
